Saboga Island is located on the north side of Pearl islands.  It is almost 3 square kilometers in size and has a population of 680 inhabitants according to a year 2000 census.
 
Saboga Island is one of the lost northly of the the Pearl islands.  With a size of 3 square kilometers and a population of less than 400. 
 
The ferry from Panama City stops off at El Encanto on Saboga on the way to Contadora and takes  1 hour and 15 minutes.
 
Curiously, Saboga Island was populated before Contadora and the journey only takes 7 minutes by Lancha where you can hire on the beach.
 
Saboga village has the oldest church in the Archipelago in the 1700th century which built be the Spanish. Several times year there is a procession led by the local people that follows a path through the village.
 
The highlights of Saboga are the nature and the ecology where you can easily walk through through the island following  trails.

The main beaches are to be found at  El EnCanto,  Playa Blanca, Playa Grande. 
 
The pure spring water comes from a well and is clear and fresh.
