San Jose Island is one of the Pearl Islands located in the Pacific Ocean near the continental shelf. It is the second largest island of this group after Isla Del Rey (king Island). It is in the middle of the Gulf of Panama and is 90 kilometers away from Panama City. It takes around 3 hours to get there if you take a boat, and around 20 minutes by plane. Its area is approximately 14,000 acres and it has tropical forests and beaches.
